Our commitment to Continuous Improvement
These past few weeks have been very exciting for the team at Harford Control.
Having first adopted the ISO 9001 standard in 1989, we are proud to have recently been awarded ISO 9001:2015 certification, an internationally recognised standard that ensures services meet the needs of clients through an effective quality management system.
Upgrading to the latest ISO 9001 standard demonstrates our commitment to providing a high-quality and consistent service to our clients and our ongoing investment in technology, development, processes and procedures. To become ISO 9001 compliant, Harford underwent an evaluation process that included quality management system development, a management system documentation review, pre-audit, initial assessment, and clearance of non-conformances, all to document our adherence to the quality management standard.

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
Following their Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification last year, three of our colleagues in the Business Improvement Team have recently been awarded Lean Six Sigma Black Belt status. This enables Harford to provide even better support to our clients. Having practised the Lean Six Sigma improvement methodology extensively, the team are equipped with the skills to provide support for solving all types of business problems and for improving processes. They are also trained on many advanced statistical analysis techniques which take root cause analysis and improvement efforts to the next level.
Of course, we also maintain a number of other accreditations, such us our SafeContractor approval to demonstrate that we are taking responsibility for our legal health and safety requirements.
Underpinning our unique expertise in Weight Control, the Weights and Measures Regulations, and European Legal Metrology, Roy Green, Managing Director of Harford, celebrates another anniversary of his membership of the Chartered Trading Standards Institute.
