For the last 35 years Harford Control (formerly Weighdata Limited) has been providing a continuous service to the Fast Moving Consumer Goods industries (mainly food, drink, pharmaceuticals, household chemicals, cosmetics and toiletries).
Our customers are principally suppliers to the supermarkets, and other retail outlets, and include such well known companies as Diageo, Dairy Crest, Unilever, Jeyes, Avon Cosmetics and Reckitt Benckiser.
Our recently developed Compliance Plus programme, proven to deliver Total Compliance at Lowest Manufactured Cost, has generated enormous interest amongst FMCG manufacturers. Not surprisingly, this has created a huge influx of new business and we, therefore, have some expansion opportunities.

Customer Support Technician
To be principally located north of the M62 and covering the north of England, Scotland and other parts of the UK and Ireland, as required. The successful applicant would join a small specialist team already providing first class support to our valued customers.
Preference will be given to those with a field service background, though this is not absolutely essential, as training will be provided.
We are looking for a well-disciplined, good communicator, who is self-motivating, with a desire to learn and the ability to learn quickly.
A full driving licence is essential, together with the need to be highly mobile, stay away from home when required and travel at short notice, as demanded by the needs of our customers. Occasional European travel may also be required.
Salary is negotiable and dependant upon experience and ability. A company car and expenses are provided.
Harford Systems Trainer
In view of our number of new installations, we need an additional person to join our training team. The successful applicant will need excellent communication skills and a good command of the English language. Additional language skills (especially Polish) would also be a major benefit.
Full systems training will be given, but experience with computers and factory production environments would be an advantage.
The successful applicant would be based at our Trowbridge headquarters, where much of the systems training would be carried out. However, a considerable amount of training may also be required at our factory installations, so a high degree of mobility, possibly including overnight stays, would be desirable. A full driving license is essential.
Salary is negotiable and dependant upon experience and ability.
