Automated Short Interval Control
Many companies already use white boards in the production area to show Short Interval Control, a very useful but time consuming practice and, therefore, frequently uncompleted.
Harford have now taken the pain out of Short Interval Control by providing a real time SIC screen, showing analysed results broken down into hours, which can be displayed on production line-side terminals and/or on individual monitors (typically 50" plasma screens) in the production area.
This has the effect of keeping all personnel informed, in real time, of production progress and, at the same time, giving operators very visible new goals to aim for, thereby encouraging ongoing improvements in production output.
